Miami Seaquarium to Host Volunteer After Party
Miami Seaquarium continues its ongoing dedication to education and conservation with their participation in the 2009 Miami-Dade Coastal Cleanup. Miami Seaquarium will host an appreciation party with free admission to the park for all registered volunteers. The party will be from 11:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. and will include shows, exhibits, food and music.
"Manatees and sea turtles are the two species that are most affected by marine debris. In this particularly busy rescue year, Miami Seaquarium has recovered numerous manatees and sea turtles that became entangled in fishing lines, or ingested litter and other man-made waste that has been tossed into the sea," commented Eric Eimstad, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, "The Coastal Cleanup is a great way for concerned individuals to do their part in helping marine life."
Miami Seaquarium, South Florida's most popular tourist attraction, is a family-oriented marine-life park open to the public 365 days a year. The park provides visitors with a greater understanding and appreciation for marine life through shows, presentations and marine-life exhibits.
